RightClickMP3 is a super simple Mac OS X solution for converting your audio files into the widespread MP3 format from the contextual menu. In other words, RightClickMP3 adds a Services option in the right-click menu of your tracks which converts them to MP3.

The application was designed to eliminate the need to open a sophisticated utility for just converting to the MP3 format. All you need to do, with RightClickMP3, is to just right click the audio file (AAC, AIFF, M4A, OGG, WAV and WMA) and choose the Services > ”Convert to MP3” option. The great part is that converting multiple items at once is, too, supported.

After selecting to convert tracks to MP3, a simple window will pop up and displays how many items will be converted, as well as the full progress and individual progress. An additional option is to skip converting the file it is currently busy with, or to cancel the whole conversion process.

Apart from the Services option, RightClickMP3 only provides a single option, which is located in its About window. This option enables you to choose the preferred bitrate of the resulting MP3s and comes in handy when you want to increase or decrease the quality of the track.

To sum up, RightClickMP3 will certainly improve the way you convert audio tracks to MP3 - it only requires 2 clicks. However, you cannot choose the output location and it does not save the metadata information in the process. If this does not bother you, feel free to try this app.
