MetroGnome For Mac

Classical metronome applications might seem boring to children that are just learning to play music and are struggling to get a sense of rhythm. MetroGnome is an OS X utility that combines basic metronome functions with a colorful, child-oriented design.

The MetroGnome user interface is represented by a single window where you can see a cute gnome looking at bees that move while following certain rhythms. However, the functions remain the same as with a classic metronome.

MetroGnome enables you to adjust the tempo speed using either the built-in presets or manually changing the parameter value. The utility comes with 6 customized tempos: Largo, Adagio, Moderato, Allegro, and Presto.

You get to decide the tempo ranging beats you want to employ, going from 0 to 12 bee graphics. Each time a bee travels on the bar, MetroGnome will accompany the action with a tick sound effect.

Given the amusing interface design, the MetroGnome application should primarily appeal to children that have to follow both the bees movement and the ticking sound. However, MetroGnome offers you the possibility to mute the sound and disable the video effects.

As a result, children will be able to keep the tempo either by looking at the MetroGnome interface, or by listening to the ticks when playing instruments. MetroGnome should also be able to switch to full-screen mode, but the function does not seem to work properly on OS X El Capitan.

MetroGnome packs basic metronome functions in a colorful user interface in order to help kids of all ages to have fun while learning to keep the rhythm. The utility allows you to change the tempo, to toggle the audio or video effects, and so on.
