A simple audio analysis tool that offers you the possibility to use the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm to analyze the spectrum of your tracks. #Audio editor #Sound effect #Sound transformation #Audio #Editor #Sound
Fast Fourier Transform is an algorithm that can be used to quickly convert time to frequency and vice versa. Mammut is a small Mac application that will use this technology to generate spectral fields for your audio files.
Working with Mammut is very intuitive: to get started locate the Load & Analyze panel and press the browse button to import an audio file. The app will automatically generate the spectrum and then you can use the transformation tabs to process the audio.
Mammut can be used to stretch, wobble, multiply phases, derivate amp, filter, invert, threshold, spectrum shift, block swap, mirror, keep peaks, change the phase amplitude, the gain, combpsplit, split real/imag or apply stereo effects. You can use the zoom tool to look more closely at the audio sopectrum.
However, the Mammut background animation remains active at all times which can prove to be quite distracting.
