Audio Playr For Mac

Audio Playr (formerly known as Little Audio App) is a small audio player designed to help you to listen to a large collection of file formats, including the ones usually associated with video content. In fact, Audio Playr can play any file as long as it includes an audio track.

To start listening to a song within Audio Playr, you can either use the Finder menu to load the track, or you can drag and drop the file on top of the app’s icon, regardless if it is in the Dock or simply in your Applications directory.

Note that Audio Playr will launch a new controller panel for each file where you can see the track’s duration, monitor the playback progress and adjust the volume level.

Audio Playr offers you the possibility to control the playback by using simple buttons: play, pause, rewind, skip back 10 seconds, or loop. If you enable the Inspector panel, you get to see the full path to the file, the file format, the data size, and the data rate.

Worth mentioning is that, through the settings panel associated with each playback window, you get to export the current track to an AAC or Apple Lossless file format. The output files will be placed in your Music folder, but you can also choose to send them directly to your iTunes library.

Audio Playr should be able to work with a wide array of audio and video file formats, such as MP3, AIF, M4R, MOV, MP4, AVI, MKV, FLV, MPG, ASF, WMV, and so on.

However, not even the Finder menu highlights only the supported formats, so you won’t know if a file is can be played or not until you try to open it.

Audio Playr can be used to extract the audio from video files to AAC or Apple Lossless formats that can be easily included in the iTunes library.

Since the Audio Playr player features different controllers for each track, you have the option to listen to multiple songs at the same time, without having to use different audio players.
