AirPods are designed to work seamlessly with your iPhone, but the same cannot be said for your Mac. AirBuddy tries to bridge the gap by bringing the features you are accustomed to on iOS to macOS. If you use your Mac with your AirPods often, it's a must-have.

For starters, the app allows you to see the status of your AirPods by just opening their case when you're next to your Mac. Alternatively, you can set up a hotkey to view their status at any time. You can even receive battery alerts for each of your devices, with customizable parameters.

Connecting to your AirPods and managing listening modes is also easier. You can set up global shortcuts for connecting to the nearest headset and switching between listening modes, which you can also do from the menu bar or using trackpad gestures.

From the AirBuddy menu bar icon, you can also keep track of all nearby devices, not just your AirPods. The app keeps track of your devices at all times, even when they're not connected to your Mac. It uses this data to generate statistics that can help you understand how your AirPods are being used.
