Indiegogo project wants to save men and women from awkwardness

An industrious trio are trying to get a project called “Say Something” off the ground and into your iPhone, promising to save you from awkwardness when you’re out to get a date.

You might say it’s just another social network for dating, and it basically is one. But Say Something comes with a twist which involves achieving certain levels of trust or appreciation before you decide to hit the great outdoors with that stranger.

It sounds like definite fun, but I’ve never been an advocate for online dating. Call me old fashioned but I prefer things like crushing someone’s toe on the subway, then having to pay for the hospitalization, then going out for a drink only to find out that it’s a match made in heaven.

Beats the heck out of giving someone a thumbs up on a touchscreen without even knowing what they smell like.

And what's with the Dexter lookalike in the promo, anyway? Makes it look like a dating service for psychos.
