Version 2.0 offers more reliable continuous background tracking

ProtoGeo has released Moves, a cheap app that automatically tracks your daily commute, jogs, and time spent in certain locations, and then shows your day as a simple storyline.

According to developer ProtoGeo, all you do is carry your phone in your pocket or bag and “Moves automatically tracks your everyday exercise, commuting and time spent in important places. Just carry your phone in your pocket or bag.”

Hopefully it doesn’t violate your privacy by allowing hackers to extract this data.

Version 2.0.2 is an update that brings more reliable continuous background tracking (which eliminates those annoying ‘Tracking stopped’ notifications), improvements in localization and Accessibility, and a bug fix preventing sharing of long days from producing black images. Veteran users will also be glad to hear that some other issues are fixed as well.

Download Moves for iPhone and iPod touch. It sells for $2.99 / €2,69 and requires iOS 6.
