77% of owners say they're very pleased with the handset

ChangeWave Research has issued the results of a new survey of iPhone 4S owners to show just how satisfied people are with the new handset. In a nutshell: very.

ChangeWave says that customer satisfaction ratings for the iPhone 4S are much higher than those for its predecessor, with 77% of owners saying they're very satisfied and 19% somewhat satisfied with their new smartphone. Only two percent of the owners said they were unsatisfied with the handset. Perhaps it is worth pointing out that ChangeWave carried out the survey on just 215 iPhone 4S owners.

In other words, the results of the study may not be entirely accurate for the whole iPhone 4S demographic. Still, these iPhone 4S satisfaction ratings are indeed higher than those found last year when ChangeWave talked to the early adopters of Apple’s iPhone 4. The chart above says it all.

Yet many customers still had a few complaints to relay, such as poor battery life, and lack of 4G. More on that in a separate post later today.
