Not surprisingly, the fifth-generation iPad has a slimmer bezel and redesigned buttons

FanaticFone.com claims to have obtained the aluminum enclosure destined to hold the guts of Apple’s iPad 5. The images are on par with the rumors, and the leak seems solid.

The blog shares a number of photos which show a clearly redesigned full-size iPad chassis, complete with new volume buttons, speaker grills, and chamfered edges.

The screen bezel will reportedly be thinner, and the whole design seems to be on par with that of the iPad mini, as previously rumored.

In all fairness, the iPad 5 will be a bigger iPad mini packing what will probably be the fastest A-series chip ever made, a Retina display, better cameras, and iOS 7.

The photos in the gallery below are in no way any confirmation that the iPad 5 will look like this, but the leak seems legitimate from where I stand.
