After making the iPad 2 cheaper officially alongside the newly-introduced third-generation iPad, Apple is now selling the second-generation tablet at an even lower price through its Special Deals area where refurbished units can be purchased.

Exclusively available to the US customer base, a second generation iPad with Wi-Fi+3G and 16GB of flash storage goes for $399 / €326 which, according to Apple’s calculations, spells a $130 discount (around €106 shaved off).

The second-generation iPad is not much lower-specced compared to the latest version that features a Retina display. However, despite lacking the ultra-crisp screen, the iPad 2 does make for a substantial upgrade from the first-generation Apple tablet.

Some of the stuff it holds over its predecessor includes the dual cameras, the option to buy one in white (such as the offer linked above), and the super sleek design. It also boasts a faster processor which enables it to run more apps than the previous-generation iPad.
