You can actually launch Camera.app by sliding it downwards really fast

A neat UIDynamics addition has been discovered in iOS 7, which enables users to mess around with the lock-screen camera launcher by causing it to bounce.

The camera tray in iOS 7 lets you swipe upwards on the lock-screen and launch the Camera application, a handy tool for photography aficionados who take snaps of everything around them.

In iOS 7, the screen bounces like a ball if you’re undecided whether to launch the app or not. And when you downright slide it back down, it bounces even harder. Swipe fast enough and it will bounce all the way to the top launching the Camera app.

Reddit user “headwrong” informs the masses that “UIDynamics is a new API that does all manner of physics for UI elements,” adding, “Third-party devs have access to it, too – so we should start to see some nice apps with playful touches like this.”
