Company attempts to capitalize on the lackluster free cloud space offered by Apple

Box is offering 50 GB of free cloud storage to counter Apple’s iCloud, in an attempt to steal as many customers as it can in the allotted 50 day time frame during which you can pick up on this offer. However, nobody’s stopping you from using both iCloud and Box.

Leaving aside that iCloud has some many additional benefits I could have you scroll till your finger hurts, Box does pose an attractive deal simply because you get 50GB of free space for whatever you want.

No questions asked, just download the newly-updated app on your iPhone, make an account, and you’re good to go. There seems to be a daily upload limit, though.

And, just like with the older Dropbox service, “your 50 GB of storage isn’t just limited to your mobile device – you get it anywhere you use your Box account, like on your laptop at home or your desktop at the office,” say the people at Box. Visit the company here to learn more.
