A new option is available for customers seeking assistance through Apple’s Support site for troubleshooting Mac-bound issues. Users can download screen-sharing software and invite a technician to look at their Mac remotely.

In case you need a help desk staffer to peek into your troublesome computer, there’s a new checkbox on Apple Support that you can tick and have a temporary application downloaded onto your Mac.

This app enables screen sharing between you and the Support staffer you just called and, according to 9to5mac, there’s no way that employee can refuse your invitation to look at your screen. Have a funny wallpaper ready at all times.

The service isn’t exactly new, though. Screen-sharing was available before, but now the customer gets to be the one to initiate the procedure. Power to the people!
