14 DAY TRIAL // After updating its weather app with iPad support and other perks, Yahoo today released an updated version of its Screen app for iOS customers.
Users of Yahoo Screen version 1.1 will be able to personalize their own channels by hitting the “+” button to add or re-order the channels that appear in their list on the main screen.
A My Saves feature is also available, allowing customers to tap and hold with their finger on any video to save it to their custom channel. This ensures that the content will be stored locally, and that it will be available for viewing at any time, even when there’s no Internet connection in sight.
Yahoo Screen also gets some new search suggestions in this release: “Auto-complete search suggestions make it easier to find what you're looking for,” says Yahoo. Lastly, the update packs some general performance improvements and bug fixes, according to the release notes.
