Microsoft’s Xbox Live marketing chief in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) has left for Apple, reports say. And his LinkedIn profile has been pulled, which further suggests that the man has been snagged by one notoriously secretive company, headquartered at 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino, CA.

Robin Burrowes is reportedly already working for the Mac maker. He is handling App Store marketing for iTunes Europe, according to 9to5mac.

Burrowes worked at Microsoft as Xbox Live marketing chief for no less than seven years, where he oversaw product, business and marketing management, as well as planning and strategy.

This was all available in his LinkedIn profile, before it got pulled for unknown reasons (wink).

Burrowes also worked on Microsoft’s MSN online operation as events/B2B marketing manager. Prior to that, he was a promotions manager for British retail chain HMV, and before that, he was a brand marketing manager for Tennent Caledonian Breweries.
