14 DAY TRIAL // Weather Underground, LLC has published the second major release of WunderMap, the company’s interactive weather and radar map for iPad.
Providing current conditions and forecasts from Weather Underground’s network of 30,000 neighborhood weather stations, WunderMap enables users to follow storms with animated radar and satellite layers, track tropical weather in a hurricane layer, view active wildfires and, more recently, watch webcams in action.
You can choose from map presets like Hurricane, Severe, Precipitation, and Wind, or you can go right ahead and customize your own map via the layers tab.
Version 2.0 includes more layers (weather stations, hurricane, active fires, fire risk etc.), a complete UI redesign, improved search, and current conditions, forecasts, and weather graphs for every location tracked by the Weather Underground network.
WunderMap is iPad-only and requires iOS 5.1. It’s also free.
