Apple will unveil the new iPad mini later today, but security accessory maker Maclocks has already presented its first device aimed at the smaller iPad.

The new iPad mini lock is designed to protect your new Apple tablet and is “based on a low profile plate design together with the slimmest cable lock on the market.”

Maclocks claims the technology was developed by inventor Mr. Meir Av Ganim and can accommodate any frame.

The device is already available for preorder on Maclocks’ corporate website for a price of $49.95 (€38.5).

In the meantime, the fruit-named company is gearing up for the event that’ll bring the world not only a smaller iPad, but also the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display.
