Informal study shows that men aren’t as drawn to the colorful iPhone as women

A non-scientific analysis of Facebook data has revealed that, in the United States, women are much more drawn to the iPhone 5c than men are. However, both genders can appreciate the 5s equally.

Benedict Evans shows the chart above and says, “There are two obvious things in this chart: the 5S is selling better than the 5C (which we pretty much knew), but the 5C has far from flopped, and women like the 5C much more than men.”

He then goes to enumerate other findings, but leaves the big question unanswered. Why do women like the iPhone 5c more than men do? Other sites covering Evans’ post are equally dismayed. I’m baffled as well, but for different reasons.

If you ask me, it’s pretty obvious why women love the 5c. Set aside the fact that it’s colorful and looks like something out of Candy Crush Saga. The thing just feels awesome in your hands. Grasp one and see for yourselves.

As for the male user base... Well, men are really just grown up boys who will always brag about their processor speed. And that's the other question answered.
