The Vuze Team has released a new version of its BitTorrent client application for Mac, Windows, and Linux, adding a “share ratio progress” column.

Formerly known as Azureus, Vuze has just received a beta update which adds a “share ratio progress” column that captures certain thresholds.

The default value is 1.0. According to the developers, this means “every time a full copy’s worth of data is uploaded.” Users can configure the interval by right-clicking on the column header and choosing the preferred value.

“The column can be added using the ‘column setup’ dialog (from the same menu above) - it is level ‘intermediate’ so either set your mode to intermediate/advanced or use the ‘filters’ in the column setup window,” the Vuze Team adds.

Vuze is free to download and use but it’s packed with ads (unlike Transmission and other BitTorrent clients).
