Mobile communications platform Viber Inc. has recently announced an expansion of its free messaging and HD-quality phone calls service to the Blackberry 10 OS, as well as a major new update for iOS customers, which I’re here to tell you about in detail.

The redesigned iPhone app is specifically tailored to match the look and feel of iOS 7 and allows users to send multiple photos and videos at the same time, create a block list of unwanted numbers or contacts, and send longer video messages.

“Viber has been redesigned from the start for simplicity and ease of use. For our iPhone release we took our cue from the clean, flat look of iOS 7, we wanted Viber to feel like a completely seamless part of the device,” said Talmon Marco, CEO of Viber. “Our BlackBerry 10 app is a beautiful twist on our design delivering the most up to date experience for our users.”

Some bug fixes are also available for those who download Viber 4.2.

The client supports more languages than ever, including English, Arabic, Bokmål, Norwegian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.

The app continues to support iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, and fourth-gen iPod touch players, as the minimum software requirement remains iOS 6.
