VLC Media Player 2.1.3 is out and available for download on OS X, Windows, and Linux computers containing loads of tweaks and improvements and some platform-specific fixes.

For Mac users in particular, VLC 2.1.3 brings back fluidsynth, fixes audio device selection via command line and, most importantly, addresses audio crashes causing users to lose sound altogether. The rest of the changes in this update are listed in the official changelog.

As usual, VideoLAN carried out additional updates to the VLC translations, including for Bulgarian, Catalan, Czech, Danish, German, Modern Greek, Spanish, Finnish, French, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Chinese.

To download VLC Media Player 2.1.3, you need an Intel-based Mac running either OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), OS X 10.7 (Lion), OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), or OS X 10.9 (Mavericks).
