The Iconfactory has released a major new version of Twitterrific 5 for Twitter, which adds new bookmarking and image services, numerous improvements to existing features, and bug fixes.

Twitterrific 5.2.2 adds Readability and Droplr support for bookmarking and image uploading.

As you scroll, the read/unread state of tweet timestamps is now updated, and indicators in the timeline tabs are updated as tweets are read.

Users will get VoiceOver feedback after performing profile actions, while third-party logins are now cleared when a service is removed. A larger font size setting has been added on iPad.

The developers ask users to note that links stemming from Yfrog will now open in the app’s built-in browser instead of the photo viewer. Numerous bug fixes are included as well (reproduced below).

• Compose attachment buttons are now disabled during @name autocomplete • Fixed a bug that could cause replies to be counted more than once • Improved reliability when clearing push notification badges • VoiceOver no longer repeatedly announces new tweet count • When composing replies, VoiceOver reads text first instead of original tweet
