The new Twitter 5.9 for iPhone and iPad includes a new form of two-factor authentication that users can turn on and manage directly from their app.

In addition to the new login verification features, Twitter 5.9 users can now view photo search results in a gallery, as well as anyone’s photos in a more comprehensive gallery when they visit a friend’s profile and tap ‘View more photos.’

Lists get improvements too, including the ability to create new lists and edit existing ones, manage titles and descriptions, as well as add or remove members.

Launch times are improved as well, and the new update also includes “other bug fixes and improvements.”

Twitter 5.9 is a major release, which means it’s probably best if you don’t postpone updating.
