Twitter’s alternate ego, TweetDeck 3.5.5, is up for grabs in the Mac App Store today featuring some new stuff, such as the ability to send images in Direct Messages.

One of the highest-requested features in recent months, sending photos in Direct Messages (DMs) is finally possible with TweetDeck 3.5.5.

Other new perks include the ability to send photos in direct messages, adding Tweets to custom timelines via URL, and a fixed bug where login session was not persisted when users restarted the app.

Unlike the official Twitter client, TweetDeck is geared towards publishing, marketing, tracking real-time conversations, and more.

According to its makers, “It brings more flexibility and insight to power users through a customizable layout that lets you keep up with the people and topics that matter most to you.”

Download TweetDeck 3.5.5 on any Mac running OS X 10.6 or later.
