If you’re using Tumblr on an iPhone or iPad and you’re not on version 3.4.1 at the moment, sum up your socializing because there’s a security issue with the software.

Tumblr is a social network with blogging perks, which enables you to post anything from photos, video, and quotes, to chats, links, and text.

The people at Tumblr have discovered an issue in their iOS app which “allowed passwords to be compromised in certain circumstances.”

“We have just released a very important security update for our iPhone and iPad apps addressing [this issue],” says the company, adding “Please download the update now.”

The developers advise users to update their password on Tumblr and anywhere else they might have been using the same password.

“It’s also good practice to use different passwords across different services by using an app like 1Password or LastPass,” according to Tumblr.
