A new version of the Tor web browser is available for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux computers, while a new version of BitTorrent Sync has been released for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad owners. Both updates include performance enhancements and fixes.

Tor Browser Bundle 3.6.1 updates HTTPS-Everywhere to 3.5.1. NoScript has been promoted to 2.6.8.22, and all proxy configuration issues affecting non-Pluggable Transports users have been addressed.

One of the listed back-port pending TOR patches includes allowing Tor proxy configuration while PTs are present. The developers also note, “The Pluggable Transports themselves have not been updated to support proxy configuration yet.” Download links are available below for all supported platforms.

BitTorrent Sync for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad version 1.3.40 is a much smaller update that carries only minor fixes and localization improvements. Despite version 1.3.40 promising to deliver “Localized language” support, the description states that BitTorrent Sync is only supported in English.

The file-transfer utility works with iDevices that can support iOS 6.0 or later, including iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad second generation, iPad third generation, iPad fourth generation, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, iPod touch fourth generation, and iPod touch fifth generation.
