Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White has checked with his sources to inform investors that, “Regarding the widely anticipated iPhone 5, we believe a September launch is more likely than October, while we also believe this will be coupled with the ‘iPad Mini’ unveiling that we were the first to uncover last Autumn.”

Rumors of Apple launching an iPad mini have been circling for a while now. Apple, for its part, has vocally expressed concern about a tablet experience reduced to screen sizes under 10-inches (on the diagonal).

Although “never say never” has applied well to Apple reporting, it still doesn’t seem very likely that iPad mini rumors will pan out.

White and his fellow analysts have gathered extra data points regarding a potential “unibody, aluminum casing [...] manufactured by Hon Hai Precision and potentially another company,” for the iPhone 5. Topeka's source, however, is “skeptical around the plethora of news stories highlighting Liquidmetal Technologies’ potential involvement in the iPhone 5.”
