A game by Rovio’s new “Stars” studio, now live in the App Store

The cool Tiny Thief game announced by Rovio earlier this month is now live in the iTunes App Store, where owners of an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad can grab the title for $2.99 / €2.69.

The game’s plot goes like this: “In a world of greed, corruption and injustice, one little guy decides to stand up for the little guy!”

Players become the Tiny Thief, a strange hero who uses trickery, rather than strength, to steal a lot of stuff across six medieval adventures.

Rovio Stars promises a point-and-click experience like no other, complete with original visuals and offbeat humor.

I haven’t downloaded the game yet, but I already have something against it. According to the developers, Tiny Thief contains “Advertising of Rovio products and also products from select partners,” just like Angry Birds and pretty much every game made by the Finnish studio.

Why on Earth does Rovio keep nagging us with adverts in their paid games? That’s what lite versions are for. Don’t they know that over there in Santa-land?
