Werkz Publishing Inc. has announced the release of its free education app for iPads called “Atoms, Molecules and Ions.”

As its name implies, the free app is a chemistry class tool, but also one that fits any integrated science course, according to its makers.

Designed to engage students to explore atoms, molecules and ions, it promises to address the needs of all students in the chemistry field.

It answers basic questions such as: what are things made of; what is an atom; how small is an atom; what’s the deal with the stuff that makes up the atom, such as protons, electrons, and such; what are molecules and how are they formed, and so on, and so forth.

To use Atoms, Molecules and Ions, all you need is an iPad running iOS 4.3.
