Receive real-time alerts when you are about to enter a known “sick zone”

The world's first “Doppler radar for sickness,” Sickweather is a new application that offers real-time alerts when you enter a known “sick zone.”

Using a patent-pending process to track and map reports of illness from social media, Sickweather lets you choose from several illnesses, including Flu, Norovirus, Pink Eye and Whooping Cough, and receive an alert whenever you enter a zone where such diseases are widespread.

“Reports are represented by blue ‘SICK’ map markers -- tap them for more information of exactly when they were reported,” says the developer.

Since some viruses are able to survive for days without a host, some with a viral life cycle of 2 weeks, Sickweather uses color codes, like RED for reports within one day, ORANGE within 2 days, and YELLOW within 1 week. Reports marked as BLUE will be as old as 2 weeks.

Download Sickweather and start living on the safe side today, but note that it uses GPS which drains your battery fairly fast.
