For the less sensitive type, the smooth 60 FPS experience will amaze you

Melodive is admittedly one of the most original games I’ve laid my hands on, but I feel I need to dispense a piece of advice for all those people who complained about iOS 7 giving them motion sickness.

If Apple’s mild animations were enough to give you nausea, you’ve only just scratched the surface of iOS-induced motion sickness.

Thanks to its procedural, endless evolving terrain and buttery-smooth 60 FPS graphics, Melodive is almost certainly going to make your head spin. Especially if you play it on an iPad.

That said, if you don’t suffer from motion sickness, I strongly encourage you to try out this incredibly well designed audio-visual experience called Melodive.

It’s not a game per se, though it does have some hidden goals. Developer Johan Gjestland calls it “a unique sound reactive flight experience, built to be most fluid and immersive 3D game on iOS,” and I must concur.

Immersive gameplay aside, you actually get to make your own music with the built-in sequencer (four included sound packs, 250 unique sounds in total). The loading times are also insanely brisk. It eludes me how this developer managed to cram all this coolness in a 5MB package. Download Melodive now for $0.99 / €0.89 and prepare to be amazed.
