Sprint Nextel has high plans for the next iPhone. The company’s CEO, Dan Hesse, says Sprint will continue to offer the unlimited data plan on an LTE-capable iPhone 5.

LTE, or Long Term Evolution, is a high-speed wireless standard that can eat through your monthly allowance in a few hours. So you can imagine what LTE will do to an “unlimited data plan.”

“I’m not anticipating the unlimited plan would change by that point,” Hesse told CNet, referring to the next-gen iPhone. "That's our distinctive differentiator."

Referring to Sprint’s cap-free plans, he continued: “Frankly, it’s a marriage made in heaven. We’re clearly attracting customers from our competitors.” He added that if the next iPhone comes with LTE wireless, all other carriers will want to support it.

"Our expectation is that we will all get the same device at the same time," he said.
