Apple is selling a 2010 MacBook Air at a considerable discount today – $679 (around €540), or 24% off. The system is eligible for the OS X Mountain Lion Up-to-Date Program.

Bringing the price for a refurbished MacBook Air to an all-time low (to our knowledge), Apple today is offering a 1.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo configuration at a reported $220 (€175) discount. A factory-sealed unit goes for $999 or €800.

Originally shipped in late 2010, this refurbished ultra-thin notebook comes with an 11.6-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, 2GB of memory, 64GB of flash storage, NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics, and a built-in FaceTime camera.

Upon order, the computer comes with OS X Snow Leopard installed. However, the OS X Mountain Lion Up-to-Date Program allows customers who buy this configuration to get OS X 10.8 for free.
