Productivity app TextExpander 2.0 is live in the iOS App Store with a bunch of new features, some borrowed from the Mac version of the software.

TextExpander 2 on iOS adds support for fill-in snippets, as well as formatted snippets and note text for iOS 6 users (accessible via "Format…" menu item).

You get Copy and Send email actions with support for formatted text, as well as an "Insert…" menu item for macros (date, time, clipboard contents, and fill-ins).

Renaming and duplication of snippet groups is now available, along with alerts for conflicting snippet abbreviations and duplicates. The app requires iOS 5.1 and works with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), and iPad.

Other changes in the new TextExpander 2.0 are listed below.

- Supports %\ selection range macro (ie. %| select this text %\ ) - Spins the network indicator during Dropbox operations - Key macros (Enter, Esc, Return, Tab) are handled more gracefully - Fixes orientation and keyboard exposure issues - Fixes numerous minor bugs.
