14 DAY TRIAL // As the story goes, in 1995 Bob Cringely interviewed Steve Jobs for his PBS series "Triumph of the Nerds." Although the interview was over an hour long, the network only used 10 minutes of it.
“So what happened to the rest of the footage?”, you may ask. Well, it gathered dust in the director’s garage for almost two decades now.
As it turned out, the tape was misplaced and many feared it had been lost. The VHS tape was re-discovered only a few days ago. The 70-minute conversation is coming to theaters in 19 US cities beginning November 16th.
Now, bits of the old footage have surfaced on YouTube in the form of a teaser. I’ve embedded it above for your viewing pleasure.
