14 DAY TRIAL // The useful Spotify is getting a leg up in performance, playlist functionality and user interface in the new 0.5.5 release for iPhone and iPad.
In addition to the “the usual bug extermination,” which should improve the performance of the app on all devices, the new Spotify 0.5.5 now allows users to tap the “Sort” button next to the search field to sort songs by track, album, artist etc. The feature is iPad-only.
Also targeting users of an Apple tablet, another change lets you search among your friends. On the iPhone, the login is much friendlier for first-time users, says Spotify Ltd.
The settings are now arranged by category, streamlining the UI, and the Radio now loads faster. “Blink and you’ll miss it,” says the developer.
Spotify is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
