Sony Entertainment Network’s Chief Operating Officer, Shawn Layden, has confirmed to the media that a dedicated iOS client is coming in a few weeks.

Speaking at the IP&TV World Forum with TechRadar watching, Layden said "We will be launching our music service on iOS in the next few weeks. We want to be on as many devices for users who want to be part of Music Unlimited."

He also confirmed that "Sony music [will] still be part of iTunes – there is no change in that," explaining that "There are many services Sony offers through PS3, tablet, Vita and Bravia TVs.” He called the ecosystem “a wide church”, adding that it’s all healthy competition.

“…people want what they want, and we are in a position to offer this," said Layden.
