A snowblower accidentally rammed into the glass panels atop of Apple’s iconic 5th avenue store in New York, causing damages worth $450,000 (€330,000), according to an early estimate.

Located at 767 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY, this Apple retail store is the most iconic of them all, mainly thanks to its flashy glass cube which Apple renovated for $6.7 million / €4.9 million two years ago.

Apparently, someone maneuvered a snowblower right into one of the huge glass slabs making up the pretentious cube, netting an estimated $450,000 (€330,000) repair bill for Apple. Who knew ordinary glass could be that expensive!

Word on the web is that, despite the damages, Apple made no changes in the store’s operations, leaving it open to the public. At the time of this writing, the Mac maker is yet to conduct any repairs on the cracked cube.
