Snapchat, Inc. is out with a new update for iOS customers delivering a new feature called Stories which stitches Snaps together to create a narrative.

The developers explain that when you add a Snap to your Story it lives for 24 hours and then disappears, allowing a new Snap to take its place. Because it makes sense to share moments in the order you experience them, your Story always plays forward.

“Your Story never ends and it’s always changing. The end of your Story today is the beginning of your Story tomorrow. And each Snap in your Story includes a list of everyone who views it,” according to the developers.

Snapchat requires only iOS 5 and works with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), and iPad. It requires iOS 6.0 or later. The app is optimized for iPhone 5 and iOS 7.
