Microsoft has finally released the Skype 6.14 binary for Mac, an update that was slated to become available yesterday, following a ceremonious unveiling on the Skype blog.

Microsoft apparently had never released Skype 6.14 in the first place, despite posting an announcement that the new version was available for download yesterday.

Whatever the cause, it seems that Microsoft has had a change of heart today, as the company is now finally offering Skype 6.14 for download on Macintosh computers. The blog announcement hasn’t been reinstated yet.

Download Skype 6.14 at the supplied link and test it out. Mac users can read about the full set of changes in the release notes. Some UI tweaks are included, and the app is said to be more compatible with Mavericks computers now. Text size adjustments also take better effect now, according to Microsoft’s now-pulled announcement.
