14 DAY TRIAL // Many people in their 30s today have owned a Nokia 3310. The phone has a big cult status in the cell phone industry, probably trumping even the iconic Apple iPhone.
Being so widely acclaimed even today, the Nokia 3310 has been the subject of numerous puns and comparisons with the newer, smarter cell phones that companies like Apple and Samsung introduced into the environment.
Our community manager handed me this hilarious 9gag post titled, “This is the reason why people always seek back to their old Nokia, when their smartphone is broken.” The image above tells the whole story.
Before you jump on the naysayers’ bandwagon, let me assure you I can fully understand that there are necessary tradeoffs to be made to achieve a spectacular design and the set of features that the iPhone has to offer. It all depends on what you need. And the 3310 still covers the needs of a lot of people today.
