In addition to the aforementioned ability, the new SiriusXM Internet Radio 2.5.0 is optimized for iPhone 5 & iOS 6, and includes “many other enhancements and fixes.”
The developers also note that the new version enhances the security for usernames and passwords.
Some subscribers may need to update their credentials with this change by accessing Manage My Account at www.care.siriusxm.com.
Also worth noting is that iPhone 5 and 5th-generation iPod touch users may see two volume controls. The bug is easily remedied by deleting the app and re-installing it.
Another inconvenience, “some episodes downloaded using earlier versions of this app may display an error message when you attempt to play them in the new version,” says the developer. If this happens, clear the message, go to My Downloads, delete the episode, and re-download the show in the Shows & On Demand section.
