Apple scoops up various photography-related domains, but not iwatch.com

Reports indicate that Apple has made some recent efforts to scoop up various domain names that contain references to its existing products, including Aperture, iSight, Photo Booth, Retina, and more.

But what about iwatch.com? That site has been sitting there just waiting to be grabbed for quite a long time now. It doesn’t seem to be used very much by anyone, and even if Apple isn’t pursuing the iWatch name, people will still generally refer to it like that for a very long time. So why not buy it?

Iwatch.com is described as “Your Source for Monitoring” and claims to be advertising home monitoring systems, but the site doesn’t seem to be working. It’s almost as if it’s been created for the sole purpose of being bought out by Apple.

Then again, the Cupertino giant would pretty much confirm the iWatch by going out and buying it now, but that wouldn’t be unheard of. They did the same with iPad domains.
