A quick reminder for all Apple developers, three new betas for iOS and OS X testing have been released this week, including new builds of Apple’s upcoming operating systems, iOS 7 and OS X Mavericks.
iOS 7 Beta 5 arrived on Tuesday, August 6, adding a number of aesthetic tweaks, such as a redesigned Twitter icon, new buttons for various apps and services (including the Power Off function), new Notification Center banners, and performance improvements. OS X Mavericks Developer Preview 5 followed the next day, bringing with it the new iBooks for Mac. A video demonstration of the desktop version of iBooks on Mavericks is embedded above.
Finally, OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion Build 12F33 - released in tandem with the aforementioned Mavericks beta - asks testers to focus their coding skills on Wi-Fi, Graphics, Wake from Sleep, PDF viewing and Accessibility, and Mobile Device Management. Build 12F33 has “no known issues.”
