Pocket Casts, the app that lets you stay up to date with all the latest podcasts, is getting a major redesign with iOS 7 in mind, according to ShiftyJelly, its creators.

In a new blog entry, ShiftyJelly reveals that it has been working hard over the past few months to deliver Pocket Casts version 4. The update isn’t out yet, but they’ve got a sneak peek for us.

The user interface has been redesigned “based on iOS 7′s styling,” featuring flat elements and more simplistic buttons and menus.

iPad users will now be supported natively, and subscriptions, playlists and play states will be synced between every iOS & Android device you own.

Pocket Casts 4 will also have dynamic episode filters and automatic downloads.

“When a new episode of your favourite show comes out, Pocket Casts can download it automatically for you, without you having to open the app,” says ShiftyJelly.

Many of the new features in Pocket Casts 4 will rely heavily on the new technologies in iOS 7, according to the company. The release will coincide with the launch of iOS 7.
