As Apple prepares to introduce Retina display MacBooks (some day), people looking to get themselves a decently working MacBook Pro without too much pop can nab a nifty offer over at Apple Special Deals where a Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.3GHz dual-core Intel i5 currently sells for $929.

Originally released February 2011, the system features a 13.3-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit glossy widescreen display boasting a 1280-by-800 resolution.

The laptop comes packed with 4GB (2 x 2GB) of 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM, a 320GB Serial ATA hard drive spinning at 5400 rpm, and the 8x double-layer SuperDrive (there’s a good chance these are the last MBPs to feature one).

Last, but certainly not least, you get Intel HD Graphics 3000 series with 384MB of DDR3 SDRAM - great for graphically intensive applications (think Photoshop) and games (think your favorite game).
