PGN Wissen associates and developer acedotx have announced a big discount on their patent-searching application for iPad, iPatent Search. The tool features Google patent search integration, and other handy features.
iPatent Search is a handy iPad app from PGN Wissen associates, an invention search tool with an easy interface and support for csv formats (the standard for patent listings).
It can display more than 10,000 patents that have been made public, and offers some user-friendly gesture input. Any country can be searched for patents, provided that there is a PDF or HTMl link available on the web for the respective invention.
Appshopper.com says the price has dropped considerably (from $4.99 / €4.49 to nothing). The app is only compatible with iPads and doesn’t work with iPhones or iPod touch devices. It requires only iOS 4.3 to run.
