Parallels Inc. today released the latest version of its desktop virtualization software for Macs, Parallels Desktop 9.0.24217.979618, an update that deals exclusively with fixes.

Parallels Desktop 9.0.24217.979618 addresses issues with the OS X password not being accepted when exiting Full Screen, with the virtual machine bridged networking disconnecting after the Mac wakes up from sleep, and with virtual machines booting to a black screen.

For some, the app would crash when switching a virtual machine to Full Screen, and others reported an issue with copying and pasting pictures and screenshots into Microsoft Outlook 2010. Both these flaws are corrected.

The new version further patches some bugs that affected updating Parallels Tools in Ubuntu virtual machines. This happened for some users after upgrading to Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac, and version 9.0.24217.979618 is said to contain the necessary fixes.

Vertical mouse scrolling would fail to work for some users in Autodesk Revit Architecture 2014 running in Coherence. Also customers reported an issue with Autodesk Inventor 2014 crashing during the rendering process. These issues are now patched.

Other fixes issues involve a warning about the software from an unidentified developer (during Parallels Tools installation), OS X virtual machines not booting on Mac Pro systems, as well as VM hosting a Hyper-V machine and crashing.
