Opera Software ASA today offers Opera Next 20.0.1387.51, a new beta of the feature-packed web browser from the Norwegian company. The update addresses a widely used feature and updates the Chromium engine.

According to the highlights offered by Radek Rzepecki, Mac product tester in Opera's Wroclaw office, the Paste and Go feature should work fine now, and Chromium is at version 33.0.1759.112.

Rzepecki specifically says, “The update includes new Chromium intake, fixes for ‘Paste and Go’ in the address field, Speed Dials, Net Installer and other bug fixes. Good luck with testing Opera Next!”

For OS X customers, Opera 20 requires an Intel-based Mac with at least 512 MB of RAM to get a decent web surfing experience. On Windows, the requirements are somewhat lower.

For those who aren’t very familiar with the Opera Next branch, this beta channel gets updated every couple of weeks, giving testers the latest refinements and new features, as well as fixes for outstanding bugs.

Releases are available for Mac and Windows on a regular basis. Linux users are left in the cold for now, but the Opera Software team promises to resume development for Linux users in the future.
