A new developer release from Opera Software ASA is available today featuring an updated network installer and some fixed bugs, with other issues still lingering as Opera 20 comes closer and closer to its beta (and ultimately stable) release.

According to a fresh post on the Opera Desktop Team blog, “[Opera 20 is] fast moving towards becoming the new Opera Next.”

“The change will happen as soon as we have worked out some keyboard issues and the extension pop-out window issue have been fixed. Opera Developer 21 will be released shortly after that,” according to the changelog.

Opera 20 updates the binary for the network installer, and testers are required to re-download it to get the latest fixes.

The update further fixes the onbeforeunload dialogs and resolves various site-compatibility problems on secure sites. Known issues extend to the keyboard and the extension pop-out windows, as noted above.
